The Cideon Conversion Engine offers complete SAP integration without modification, can be delivered as an SAP software component, can be adapted as required using APIs, BAPIs and BADIs, works as an automatic SAP background process, is fast, reliable and flexibly scalable, and enables time optimization by combining processing steps.
The conversion engine supports formats such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge, Pro/Engineer (Creo), Siemens NX, CATIA V5, Eplan Electric P8 and others.

Neutral formats (e.g. JPG of a 3D CAD model) enable quick access and easy distribution. Exchange formats (e.g. VDS, DWF, DXF) simplify technical communication in product development over the entire life cycle.
The Conversion Engine automatically creates conversion jobs when there is a defined status change in SAP DMS. The results are stored in the SAP document info record of the original or as a separate DIS for the neutral format.
